The Gunung Wugul Minihydro Power Plant (PLTM), developed by PT PLN Indonesia Power, harnesses water flow from the Urang River to generate renewable electricity without producing greenhouse gas emissions. Located in Banjarnegara, Central Java, it has an installed capacity of 2 x 1.5 MW, with an estimated annual output of 14,872,428 kWh over a 30-year operational period. Since commencing operations on December 3, 2021, the plant has contributed to reducing CO2 emissions and fossil fuel consumption by replacing a portion of the fossil-based electricity supply in the PLN JAMALI grid.
