Fairatmos is thrilled to take part in the Unlocking capital for sustainability 2025, for the closing plenary session for Unleashing AI for climate innovation and inclusion, as part of a regional series leading up to COP30.
Organized by Eco-Business in partnership with UNEP, the forum gathered decision-makers across finance, government, and technology to explore how artificial intelligence (AI) can be a transformative force in driving climate innovation and sustainable development.
As AI gains traction across Asia and the world, it is being recognized for its ability to optimize data, improve decision-making, and expand financial inclusion through democratized, mobile-first platforms. With a domestic market value of around USD 1.8 billion, Indonesia is advancing the responsible use of AI in its financial ecosystem through the Indonesian Payment System Blueprint. However, the key challenge lies in ensuring that this progress translates to real-world sustainability impact, particularly for underserved communities.
Mobilizing Climate Solutions Through AI
The plenary was attended by distinguished Penalist:
-
Natalia Rialucky Marsudi, CEO and Founder of Fairatmos
-
Andreas Tjendra, AI National Roadmap Advisor; Director of AI Innovation at KORIKA
-
Reihan Adilla, CEO and Co-Founder of Agrilabs.id
-
Moderator: Dr. Tariq Khalil, Principal Climate & Sustainability Scientist at Mosaic Risk Analytics
Together, the panel explored how AI can help mobilize sustainability solutions, unlock critical finance, and support climate tech startups that often lack access to resources, funding, and markets.
Natalia answered questions regarding how AI and automation can strengthen feedback loops between investments and their impact; how AI should be positioned within organisational or corporate strategy, especially in identifying and managing potential risks; which sectors or industries are ripe for AI adoption but are currently underutilised; and how AI and other technologies are being deployed by Fairatmos to scale high-quality nature-based solutions in markets such as Indonesia.
This session reflects Fairatmos’ ongoing commitment to applying technology responsibly to scale climate action, while ensuring inclusive and just transitions remain at the center of Indonesia’s sustainability journey.
