Fairatmos and PT SIER Join Forces to Develop Carbon Projects in Indonesia’s Industrial Sector
Fairatmos is proud to announce our latest strategic partnership with PT Surabaya Industrial Estate Rungkut (SIER) to drive industrial decarbonization and carbon credit generation through a science- and technology-based approach. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was officially signed on Friday, 13 June 2025, in Jakarta.
Empowering Industrial Estates to Meet Climate Goals
This collaboration demonstrates the shared commitment between Fairatmos and PT SIER to promote sustainable industrial transformation. Through this partnership, both companies will co-develop a pre-feasibility study (pre-FS) for launching carbon projects across SIER’s industrial estates.
The study will focus on three critical pillars:
-
Industrial wastewater management
-
Energy efficiency enhancement
-
Deployment of low-carbon technologies and reforestation initiatives
Fairatmos will bring to the table our expertise in climate technology, digital MRV (Measurement, Reporting, and Verification), and science-based carbon methodologies, ensuring that every project component meets both national standards via the Sistem Registri Nasional (SRN) and international carbon credit frameworks such as the Gold Standard.
“Industrial zones like SIER hold tremendous potential in accelerating Indonesia’s emission reduction targets,” said Natalia Rialucky Marsudi, CEO and Founder of Fairatmos. “We are ready to support SIER with data-driven strategies, cross-sectoral experience, and our digital infrastructure to build a more climate-resilient industrial ecosystem.”
Beyond Compliance: Toward ESG and Economic Competitiveness
The partnership not only targets emission reductions but also strengthens SIER’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance. The certified carbon credits generated could unlock new revenue streams through carbon trading while enhancing the global competitiveness of SIER and its tenants.
“The future of industry depends on our ability to adapt to climate change. This collaboration is our firm response to that challenge,” said PT SIER President Director, Didik Prasetiyono. “Transparency and accountability will be the foundation of this initiative.”
