Jakarta, 26 May 2026, Fairatmos recently concluded its participation in the Blue Catalyst Challenge 2026, a global accelerator programme jointly organised by Hatch Blue, WWF-Singapore, and the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), held in Singapore from 11–22 May 2026.
The programme brought together leading climate technology and blue carbon innovators from around the world to accelerate collaboration, investment readiness, and scalable solutions for coastal ecosystem restoration and carbon markets.
From more than 130 companies worldwide, Fairatmos was selected as one of only 10 companies globally to join the 2026 cohort.
A Global Gathering of Blue Carbon Technology Companies
The Blue Catalyst Challenge focused on companies developing technologies and infrastructure that can strengthen the future of blue carbon ecosystems, including mangroves, seagrasses, and coastal wetlands.
The selected cohort featured companies from Southeast Asia, Europe, Australia, and North America working across areas such as:
-
Geospatial mapping and remote sensing
-
Digital MRV platforms
-
Mangrove restoration systems
-
Biodiversity monitoring
-
Ocean intelligence and carbon flux measurement
-
Carbon project development infrastructure
Over the course of the 10-day programme, participants joined workshops, mentoring sessions, ecosystem discussions, and networking engagements with leading stakeholders across the global carbon and climate ecosystem.
The programme also created opportunities to engage directly with organisations including BeZero, JPMorganChase, Glencore, Tencent, The Nature Conservancy, ClimateBridge, Global Mangrove Trust, and many others working in carbon markets and nature-based solutions.
Fairatmos Showcased Technology-Driven Blue Carbon Development in Southeast Asia
During the programme, Fairatmos presented its integrated ecosystem designed to support scalable and high-integrity blue carbon project development across Southeast Asia.
According to the programme profile, Fairatmos currently works across 19 projects with an estimated total potential of 820 million tCO₂e. The company has also processed approximately 78 million hectares of land and screened more than 960 qualified projects across nine countries through its AtmosCheck platform.
Fairatmos highlighted several of its core platforms and initiatives during the programme, including:
- AtmosCheck
A geospatial and machine learning-based platform that enables rapid site eligibility assessments and project screening for carbon project development.
- SEA Carbon Methodologies Finder
A platform that helps project developers navigate and compare blue carbon methodologies across Southeast Asia to identify the most suitable frameworks for project implementation.
- AtmosRestore
A technology-enabled smart nursery system designed to improve mangrove sapling survivability through controlled environments, remote hydrological systems, and IoT-based monitoring.
The programme also highlighted Fairatmos’ growing mangrove restoration pipeline, which currently spans approximately 52,000 hectares across the region.
Selected Among the Top 6 Teams for Blue Catalyst Demo Day
One of the key milestones from the programme was Fairatmos being selected among the Top 6 teams invited to pitch at the Blue Catalyst Demo Day.
The Demo Day brought together investors, corporations, project developers, academic institutions, philanthropies, and ecosystem stakeholders interested in the future of blue carbon and nature-based climate solutions.
At the event, Fairatmos presented its vision for accelerating scalable and technology-enabled blue carbon development in Southeast Asia through geospatial intelligence, restoration systems, and upstream project infrastructure.
Representing Fairatmos throughout the programme and Demo Day were our CEO, Natalia Rialucky, and Corporate Strategy Manager, Cecilia Natasya.
Strengthening Southeast Asia’s Role in the Global Blue Carbon Ecosystem
The Blue Catalyst Challenge highlighted the increasing global attention toward blue carbon ecosystems as a critical component of climate action and biodiversity conservation.
With Southeast Asia holding some of the world’s most significant mangrove ecosystems, the region is positioned to play a major role in shaping the future of high-integrity blue carbon markets and nature-based solutions.
At the same time, scaling credible blue carbon projects continues to require stronger project readiness, better monitoring systems, improved restoration outcomes, and accessible technology infrastructure.
Through participation in the programme, Fairatmos gained valuable opportunities to exchange knowledge, build partnerships, and contribute to conversations shaping the future of the blue carbon ecosystem globally.
Looking Ahead
Participating in the Blue Catalyst Challenge 2026 marks another important milestone in Fairatmos’ mission to build scalable and technology-enabled climate solutions for Southeast Asia.
We would like to thank Hatch Blue, WWF-Singapore, EDB, programme mentors, partners, and fellow cohort companies for the meaningful collaboration, discussions, and shared commitment toward advancing blue carbon innovation.
As the global climate ecosystem continues to evolve, Fairatmos remains committed to supporting transparent, science-based, and high-integrity carbon project development that creates long-term environmental and social impact
