Erick Thohir, Indonesia’s Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), is receiving solid backing from President Prabowo Subianto in his mission to transform BUMN. With new personnel and stronger support, Erick is set to advance ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices within BUMN like never before.

President Prabowo has strengthened Erick’s team by adding three deputy ministers—Kartika Wirjoatmodjo, Dony Oskaria, and Aminuddin Ma'ruf—to help drive these important changes. This extended team will focus on each part of BUMN’s operations, particularly on enhancing transparency, accountability, and sustainable practices.

One of the most significant aspects of this transformation is the integration of ESG principles. Erick sees this as essential for BUMN to adapt to global standards and bring real, positive impact to Indonesia’s environment, society, and economy. “We need to both manage and protect our portfolio while embracing ESG,” he said. Under this renewed focus, BUMN will actively support clean and responsible governance, while also contributing to the nation’s sustainable goals in areas like food security, energy, and local industry.

With this vision, Erick emphasized that loyalty, commitment, and action are vital to fulfill President Prabowo’s mission of serving the Indonesian people and ensuring BUMN leads with responsibility and resilience.
