Overview
The project aims to implement a REDD+ Jurisdictional Approach for 9 social forestry areas in the Gunung Mas Regency, which will include forest protection and restoration activities. In the past 10 years, the jurisdiction area has experienced a deforestation rate of 0.9% per year, losing 175 hectares of forest area annually. The project faces significant threats, such as gold mining activities in the surrounding areas and land clearance from logging concessions.
